1.2 Publishing-Related Information
Book title, synopsis, genre, and manuscript files
Cover files, interior files, copyright details
ISBN numbers (author-provided or newly assigned)
Metadata needed for IngramSpark (keywords, pricing, BISAC categories, etc.)
1.3 Account Information (When Assisting with IngramSpark Setup)
IngramSpark username (if provided for setup)
IngramSpark dashboard access (only if author grants temporary permission)
Account preferences (currency, printer options, distribution settings)

3. How We Protect Your Information
We implement industry-standard safeguards to ensure your information remains secure:
Passwords, login details, and sensitive files are never shared with unauthorized
individuals.
Access to your IngramSpark account (if granted) is temporary and removed immediately
upon project completion.
All book files and author documents are stored securely and deleted upon request.
All payment processing is handled securely through verified third-party processors.
2. How We Use Your Information

4.3 Data Deletion
Authors may request deletion of:
Manuscripts
Cover files
Author documents
Any temporary login information
All personal data stored for project purposes
Deletion requests will be completed within 7 business days.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share your information only when necessary to complete publishing activities:
5.1 With IngramSpark
To upload, revise, distribute, and publish your book.
5.2 With ISBN Agencies (if applicable)
If we assist with ISBN registration through Bowker or another agency.
5.3 Legal Requirements
If required by law, regulatory bodies, or court order.
We do not share information with:
Marketing companies

2. Author Responsibilities
2.1 Ownership of Content
The Author affirms that they own full rights to the manuscript, cover, and all book materials
submitted for publication.
2.2 Accuracy of Information
The Author is responsible for providing accurate personal, financial, and book-related
information required for IngramSpark.
2.3 Approval of Files
The Author is responsible for approving:

cover design

If the Service Provider provides an ISBN, ownership terms must be clarified in writing.
3. Service Provider Responsibilities (Skip if self-publishing fully alone)
3.1 Scope of Services
The Service Provider may assist with:
Formatting and layout
Cover design
Metadata preparation
IngramSpark account setup (if requested)
Uploading and revising files
Distribution submission
3.2 Temporary Access to Accounts
If the Author grants temporary login access, the Service Provider agrees to use it solely for
project-related tasks and remove access upon request or completion.
3.3 Delivery Timeline
Timelines for design, formatting, and uploading will be communicated to the Author and may
vary depending on revisions or IngramSpark processing times.
4. IngramSpark Account Ownership
4.1 Author-Owned Account
The IngramSpark account will be created under the Author’s name and email.
The Author retains 100% control and long-term access.
4.2 Account Permissions
The Service Provider may access the account only with the Author’s permission and for
publishing tasks.
2.4 ISBN Management
If the Author provides their own ISBN, they retain full ownership.
If the Service Provider provides an ISBN, ownership terms must be clarified in writing.
3. Service Provider Responsibilities (Skip if self-publishing fully alone)

The Service Provider may assist with:

5. Payments & Fees
5.1 Service Fees
The Author agrees to pay all associated publishing and service fees, including:
IngramSpark upload/revision fees
Printing/proof costs
Formatting or design service fees
Marketing and distribution packages (if applicable)
5.2 Non-Refundable Services
Any completed work (design, formatting, file uploads, consultations, revisions) is non-
refundable.
5.3 Late Payments
Invoices must be paid within agreed timelines. The Service Provider may pause work for
overdue accounts.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 Author Ownership
The Author maintains full copyright and intellectual property rights over the manuscript and all
book content.
6.2 Use of Materials for Portfolio
If permitted, the Service Provider may use the Author’s cover or book title strictly for
promotional or portfolio purposes.
This requires Author approval.
6.3 Third-Party Images and Licenses
Any images or assets provided by the Author must be licensed or owned by them.
The Service Provider is not responsible for copyright violations caused by Author-provided
content.
The Service Provider does not receive any share unless separately agreed upon in writing.
5. Payments & Fees
5.1 Service Fees
The Author agrees to pay all associated publishing and service fees, including:
IngramSpark upload/revision fees
Printing/proof costs
Formatting or design service fees
Marketing and distribution packages (if applicable)

Upon project completion, the Author may request that all files and login access be deleted
within 7 business days.
8. Revisions, Updates & Proof Approvals
8.1 Revision Requests
The Author may request reasonable revisions before final upload.
Major revisions may incur additional fees.

The Author is responsible for reviewing and approving digital or printed proofs before

IngramSpark may charge revision fees.
The Author agrees to cover these costs.

IngramSpark is responsible for:

global listing
order fulfillment
The Service Provider is not liable for delays, print issues, or distribution decisions made by
IngramSpark.
All personal and publishing information will be handled according to the Privacy Policy.
7.2 Confidential Information
Any documents, manuscripts, or login credentials shared will remain confidential.
7.3 Data Access Removal
Upon project completion, the Author may request that all files and login access be deleted
within 7 business days.
8. Revisions, Updates & Proof Approvals
8.1 Revision Requests
The Author may request reasonable revisions before final upload.
Major revisions may incur additional fees.
8.2 Proof Approval
The Author is responsible for reviewing and approving digital or printed proofs before

global listing
order fulfillment
The Service Provider is not liable for delays, print issues, or distribution decisions made by

9.2 Retailer Listings
Global distribution availability depends on IngramSpark and individual retailers (Amazon, B&N,
libraries, wholesalers).
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Service Provider Liability
The Service Provider is not liable for:

distribution delays
retailer pricing changes
IngramSpark technical issues
lost sales or royalties
account restrictions caused by IngramSpark policies
10.2 Maximum Liability
In any dispute, the maximum liability of the Service Provider is limited to the amount paid by

Either party may terminate the working relationship with written notice.
